MY CHOREOGRAPHIC WORK

2018

‘when a glass body breaks’ explores the dialectics, the friction and the correlation between internal and external forces that manipulate our body, mind and ultimately our lives. How far do we ought to go before the shatters of our broken body revive?

‘and when you are done
sinking and collapsing and
sinking and collapsing
build yourself
with your wreckage’

MOVEMENT ANALYSIS CAPTURED

2016

Movement analysis about the unconscious knowledge of our body during my first year at Codarts, Rotterdam, in collaboration with Laura Limburg, Artcode student Fontys, Tilburg 2016.

It was an honour to work on these beautiful pieces during my internship in Konzert Theater Bern.

ANGEL IN BLUE BY KOR'SIA

AS PART OF THE PRODUCTION 'PAUL KLEE'

'Klee's famous dictum "Art does not reproduce the visible, but makes visible." from his Creative Confession should accompany both choreographers in this production. Klee's art lives on hints, dreams, music and poetry: in his oil paintings spray bright colors, his drawings are always enriched with a pinch of humor, his etchings carry almost bizarre features. As an important representative of the Classical Modernism, he coined an epoch with his pictures and graphics. His conviction that the pictorial work emerges from the movement, that it is itself a recorded movement and is included in the movement, is the maxim for this two-part evening on the Bernese artist Paul Klee.

LOST CAUSE BY SHARON EYAL

''Sharon Eyal's works conquer the world - for a long time, she has been one of the most sought-after choreographers of our time. Her work is abstract, associative and futuristic. They elude conventional narrative forms and develop a pull effect that captivates the audience. Tanzcompagnie Konzert Theater Bern is the first ensemble to study the piece; Lost Cause.''

SALVE REGINA BY JO STRØMGEN

''Jo Strømgren is one of the most renowned choreographers. Nevertheless, this does not do justice to his extensive work: this theater genius choreographs, writes and stages plays such as operas, designs stage sets and makes puppet shows. In his dance evenings Jo Strømgren creates concrete contexts by combining different theatrical means and languages. As a choreographer he shows a clear attitude and makes his work up-to-date, political, unique and always humorous.''

VIERJAHRESZEITEN BY ESTEFANIA MIRANDA

''After the great success of Callas , Estefania Miranda's new choreography is dedicated to one of the most important works in music history: The Four Seasons. Based on Antonio Vivaldi's famous scores, Max Richter has created a furious version of the cycle. Virtuoso, he overwrites the well-known melodies, lets them remain recognizable and shine in a new light. With that, Richter breathes new life into Vivaldi's composition, creating atmospheres that get under your skin and carry them away.
The cycle of the seasons stands for the elemental forces that condition our existence. Estefania Miranda's choreography focuses on this dialogue between nature and man and his haughty attempt to harness and overcome these forces. A dance piece in large ensemble cast, which takes up the dynamics of creation and transience and points beyond us.''
